Churachandpur and Kakching power sub-stations to resume soon

IMPHAL, April 5: The Manipur State Power Company Limited has notified that in a storm on April 4 night at about 11 pm two transmission towers, loc No 27 (A+3) and loc No 28 (A+3) for 132 KV Ningthoukhong to Churachandpur transmission line had collapsed at Kwakta, Ward No 8, Bishnupur District.

Consequently, normal power supply will be disrupted for the areas fed by Churachandpur and Kakching 132/33 kV sub-stations. Normal supply will resume in 7 to 10 days time when line restoration work completes. Insolvencies caused to the public is regretted, it added.
