IMPHAL, April 8: In a fatal road accident, two youths lost their lives when a two-wheeler they were coming collided with a speeding truck at Tengdongyan under Sekmai Police Station in Imphal West today around 3 pm.
The two deceased have been identified as Aheibam Kodumba Singh, 15 son of A Rajbabu Singh of Khonghampat Mayai Leikai and Koijam Premchandra Singh, 16 son of K Rajen Singh of the same locality.
They were rushed to Catholic Medical Centre (CMC) Hospital at Koirengei for treatment. Later, the two were shifted to Shija Hospital after their condition deteriorated but succumbed to the injuries.
Police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
