IMPHAL, April 1: The Manipur People`™s Party has stated that a conclusion on the Peace Talk between India Government and NSCN (IM) will be brought on April 18.

According to a release of the party, the news on the Peace Talk is encouraging. However, the party will oppose any move to break up the integrity of Manipur even on the pretext of the Peace Talk, it said.

In another release, the party has appealed to the government to reconsider the extension order notified by the department of Personal and Administrative Reform for the retired teachers under the name Awardee Teachers. The name was given to those teachers who were awarded by the State and Central Government for their outstanding works, it said.

The party has stated that the order will only bring insult and degradation of moral to the teachers and as well as bring disorder to Education Department as well. It appealed to the government to provide Political or Cultural posts for the Awardee Teachers without any connection to their service period, it said.
