IMPHAL, April 29: Anti-AFSPA crusader Irom Chanu Sharmila has called on everyone to extend all possible help to the victims of the devastating Nepal earthquake.
The need of the hour is for the whole world to come together and be with the people of Nepal.
Pained by the loss suffered from the earthquake, she said she has sent a letter to the Nepal government showing her support.
Sharmila was produced before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West RK Memcha today.
She has been remanded to further judicial custody till May 13.
Speaking at the Cheirap court premise before being taken away, Sharmila said there is also the need to intensify the movement demanding repeal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act.
The police have already framed a charge-sheet against her on March 2, however it is yet to reach the court, she continued.
