IMPHAL, May 13: A team of District Police Commando, Imphal East has conducted counter insurgency operation and has arrested one active member of PREPAK organisation on May 11.
A press release of the PRO has said that the active member was identified as Ningombam Lokeshwor Singh, 44, son of (l) N. Nungshi Singh of Thongju Part-II. Investigation revealed that he had extorted a huge amount of money from various government departments located in Imphal area for raising party fund.
A case has been registered at Porompat Police Station and investigation is going on, it said.
