Pass percentage drops in HSE result, boys and girls nearly at a par

IMPHAL, May 11: The Education Minister Moirangthem Okendro while officially declaring the HSE result 2015 at his office today said that the result has marginally drop in the overall success rate, now standing at 61.11 percentage as compared to the past percentage of 75.67, 82.86, 81.44, 76.89 in the last four years examination.

The Education Minister expressed that it was unfortunate but he is satisfied with the result though the pass percentage dropped compared to the previous examination as the students were strictly monitored by a government form observer during the examination.

As this policy will give a better quality education in the state by bringing out the quality students each year though with less pass percentage each he added.

He also said that each coming year examination will be conducted in a fairer manner without allowing unfair means during the examinations.

Altogether a total of 24742 students appeared in the examination and a total of 15120 students pass the examination.

There is also now only a marginal difference in the pass percentages of male and female candidates with males candidates pass percentage standing at 61,59 against females candidates pass percentage of 60.59.

According to the data available this year, the private institutions had better results than the government schools and colleges. While 68.34% passed from private institutions only 45.78% could get through from the government run schools and colleges.

This year Thoubal districts came out with the highest pass percentage of 80.06 and Bishnupur district with the lowest of only 40.43.
