BJP submits memorandum on NRHM, Manipur to PM

IMPHAL, June 22: The BJP Manipur Pradesh has sent a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare to intervene and take necessary action on issues related to National Rural Health Mission, Manipur today.

A source informed that the memorandum submitted by the BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary on behalf of All Manipur National Rural health Mission, Technical Support Staff Union Manipur was a reminder of a previous memorandum submitted by the AMNRHMTSUM submitted on October 16, 2014.

The reminder reflects on the long standing grievances and demands of the contractual support staff of the State Health Society Manipur.

At present, the NRHM, Manipur has 1768 contractual staff many of whom are ANM nurses working in Reproductive and Child Health-I, which was implemented in the year 2006, informed a source.

The chatter of demand included approval the proposal salary structure for NHRM contractual staff prepared by the state programme Implementation plan (SPIP) Manipur 2014-15 as per 6th pay commission and that the State should move from contractual appointment to creation of regular post to fill up vacancies as on December 21, 2011 the joint secretary Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India had mentioned that there should be a clear plan for augmentation of the human resource in the next five years by creating of regular posts.
