IMPHAL, Jun 13: The two-day festival of Manipuri Manoharsai organized by Manipuri Manoharsai Ashram, Ramji Prabhu, Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Government of India concluded today.
The festival was held amidst a huge congregation of Manoharsai lovers from all over the state. The main attraction of the festival was the enchanting performance of Manoharsai Sankritans by the male and female artistes who had undergone training on Khol and Manoharsai under the eminent Gurus of Manipuri Manoharsai Ashram, Imphal.
Eminent Guru of Goura-Leela and a well known scholar of Sanskrit Hanjabam Nandakishore Sharma who was the chief guest of the function appreciated the tireless efforts made by Manipuri Manoharsai Ashram to popularize and revive the rare art form of Manoharsai and Khol by imparting training to newly selected young artistes every year since three decades.
President of Manipuri Manoharsai Ashram B Abhimanyu Sharma graced the occasion as president. Audience at the function were enthralled by the performance of the artistes of Manipuri Manoharsai Ashram.
