IMPHAL, June 22: A joint meeting of the 17 elected Congress candidates from the Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council (ADC) held at Hotel Imphal today has unanimously decided to re-elect Haokholal Hangshing as the Chairman of Sadar Hills ADC.
The meeting was also attended by the lone Independent candidate who elected from the Sadar Hills in the ADC Election 2015.
Haokholal Hangshing is serving as the Caretaker Chairman of Sadar Hills ADC at present. He was elected from 2-Kangpokpi District Council Constituency in the election.
It may be mentioned that 17 candidates from Congress, four from BJP, two from NPF and one as Independent were elected for the Sadar Hills ADC having 24 constituencies.
