IMPHAL, Jun 23: Two prosecution witnesses (PW) in connection with charge sheet framed against RK Meghen alias Sanayaima, chairman of the proscribed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) and his associates, failed to appear before the NIA Special Court, Guwahati today.
The two witnesses include an under secretary of internal division NHA, Binit Kumar.
Even as the deposition and examination of the PW failed to take place, the UNLF chief and his associates were produced before the court.
It may be noted that case lodged against the rebel leader and his associate is NIA special court case no.1 of 2010 (special trial) u/s 121/121-A/121-B IPC and 16/17/18/20 UPA Act.
