Jiten remanded to judicial custody

IMPHAL, Jul 7: Khullem Jiten Singh accused of shooting his uncles on June 30, of which one succumbed to injuries the next day, has been remanded to judicial custody till July 10 by the Chief Judicial Magistrate/ Imphal.

As the accused was being produced before the court today, the JAC formed in connection to the incident along with the wife of his deceased uncle stormed the court complex demanding his custody.

However, the mob was controlled by a huge team of police personnel.

It may be mentioned that the accused had surrendered before the additional SP/ Law and order Imphal West Dr S Ibomcha Singh yesterday with four live rounds and a licenced gun.
