IMPHAL, Jul 22: On July 21, acting on reliable information, a team of the district police commando Imphal West conducted frisking and checking at North AOC, Imphal, according to a statement of the PRO Police.
It said during the frisking and checking, one active member of PREPAK (Pro) organisation, namely, Sanjenbam Chittaranjan Singh, 47, son of (L) S Noyon Singh of Sega road Khwairakpam Leikai was arrested.
Investigation revealed that, he had served demand letters to government offices, general public, businessmen and mobile tower owners, it said adding that incriminating articles were seized from him.
A case has been registered at Imphal Police Station and investigation is going on, the statement said
