IMPHAL, July 16: Along with producing chairman of the banned United National Liberation Front (UNLF) RK Meghen alias Sanayaima and several other leaders of the outfit before the Special Court of NIA Guwahati today, statement of a former Director of Forensic Science Laboratory, Guwahati was taken and cross-examined in connection with the ongoing trial against the outfit leaders.
The former Director of Forensic Science Laboratory, Guwahati is identified as Rajendranath Khude. He is the prosecution witness no 76 of the case. He had already deposed before the court in connection with the case.
The NIA framed the charge sheet against the leaders of the outfit under Case No 1 of 2010 (Special Trial).
According to reports received from Guwahati, Rajendranath Khude had submitted 165 Documentary Exhibits to the court relating to the case. He was cross-examined by the court today in connection with the Documentary Exhibits submitted by him.
It may be mentioned that today`™s proceeding of the case is the first for this month. There will be two more proceedings in this month.
