IMPHAL, Jul 20: The Tamenglong District People`™s Welfare Association (TDPWA), Tamenglong which was formed on February 17 of this year has started functioning effectively from July 19.
New office bearers of the association were also elected with Happyson Meirinmei as chairman, Meithailiu Kamei as vice-chairperson, Olive Pamei as general secretary, Chingjanglung Gonmei as joint secretary and Kapudai Meiringmei as treasurer.
The TDPWA will focus on the development projects/schemes and others in the district, which is purely sanction by the Central Government and state government.
