IMPHAL, Aug 1: The BJP, Manipur Pradesh has expressed sorrow over the landslide which has buried 20 individuals alive.
A statement of the party said the party had appealed to the NDRF through the Union Home Affairs Ministers to send a team to help in the rescue of the victims, which the MHA has responded positively and considering to send the team at the earliest.
It said the incident is one of the most tragic incidents in the history of Manipur and that the party prays to the Almighty God to help in the recovery of the bodies.
The party has also appealed to the State and Central authorities to help in searching for the bodies of those buried inside and to extend relief and rehabilitation to the affected people at the earliest.
