Imphal, Aug 26 (NNN): An IED bomb exploded today morning nearby the entrance gate of 25th Assam Rifles at Chingarel. The area comes under Lamlai PS of Imphal East district.
The explosion occurred at around 5.30 am. In the blast, one person identified as Th Kumar of Kangla Sanggomshang was injured. He runs a small hotel in that area.
On hearing the news, a police team along with a bomb squad team rushed to the spot and checked the nearby surroundings for any other IED plantations. However, no ther bombs were found.
So far, no claim has been made by any outfit and police also has not been finding any clues.
