IMPHAL, August 13: The Kuki National Front-Democrats (KNF-D) group on Thursday announced that the coming 15th August Independence Day celebration would be boycotted by the organization.
A statement said if anyone is found observing the Independence Day anywhere in its operational area, the party will take action against those official or organization.
From time to time the govt. of India has been taking advantage of the disunity amongst the various Kuki base armed organizations, is trying every possible means and ways to bring in solution to others but openly ignores the Kukis, alleged TC Jevin Kuki, Secy. Information and Publicity KNF-D.
The Kukis were independent and will remain independent added the press release of KNF-D.
The press release further urged to all not to participate in the celebration of I-Day and incase anything untoward happening occur on the day, nobody can blame the organization.
