IMPHAL, Sept 2: UG cadres suspected to be of Zeliangrong United Front fired upon a 13 Assam Rifles check post in Nunba Bazar last night around 10:30 injuring an AR personnel, informed a source.
Sources identified the injured personnel as (Rifleman no 134426-H) Inrang Bung, 28.
It is learnt that Inrang was on duty with other personnel at the check post when the suspected UGs fired upon them injuring him in the attack.
He was rushed into the AR Unit hospital for treatment and shifted to the leimakhong Military Hospital this morning.
