BJYM to organise Marathon on October 4

IMPHAL, September 9: The BJYM Manipur Pradesh will be organising a marathon race to spread awareness on Swachh Bharat campaign on October 4 as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi`™s initiative for Swachh Kranti part of his five krantis said its president O Malesh today.

Speaking to media persons, he said the marathon will try to create awareness for a clean India and encourage people to lead a good and health lifestyle.

He said the five krantis are `Yog Kranti`, `Swachta Kranti` (Swacch Bharat), `Koushal Kranti` (Skill India), `Kanya Shakti Kranti` (Beti Bachao, Beti Padao) and `Nirman Kranti` (Make in India).

The marathon will be held in Imphal and cover 10 kms he informed.

The State unit of the BJYM will also extend various programme on skill development and provide trainings to the people to encourage the Made in India kranti he continued.

He also said that the BJYM has appointed N Bikram to lead its Swachh Bharat Kranti, Ak Pradip to lead the Yoga Kranti, Dr Y Antas Khan for Skill Development Kranti, A Victoria and Nang Mary for women empowerment and Y Gojendra for the Made in India Kranti.

The krantis were already launched in August and is targeted to complete in in January next year he said.

Elaborating on the route to be used for the marathon, vice president Y Gopi said the marathon will be flagged off from the BJP State Unit office and after passing through various points of Imphal East and turning towards Khuyathong conclude at the starting point.

Forms are made available at the BJP office and the last date for submission of forms will be September 31 he said.
