IMPHAL, Sept 18: Reacting sharply against some politicians commenting on the present issues of the State, Sagolband MLA RK Imo has demanded the concern politicians to concentrate on their own States rather than meddle in affairs of other States.

In a statement, the MLA asked “What is wrong with all the so called leaders from the North-East Region?”

He said the Chief Minister of Mizoram writes a letter to the Prime Minister not to implement the ILP in Manipur and now a Member of Parliament from Nagaland has expressed his opinion to divide Manipur into two Union Territories saying that the Meiteis and the tribals of Manipur cannot co-exist peacefully together in the same State.

“Who are they to decide what is to be done in Manipur? We do not interfere nor give statements regarding what needs to be done inside another State,” he said. “Why don’t you remove ILP from Mizoram or divide Nagaland for NSCN-IM and NSCN-K?” the MLA said in his statement.

He further requested such senior leaders to refrain from giving such statements which could hurt the sentiments of the surrounding States and concentrate on governance in their respective States.
