IMPHAL, September 18: Based on specific intelligence regarding movement of a UG cadre, troops of the 2 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) along with Thoubal Police Commandos and representatives of woman Police launched a joint operation in general area of Langathel and apprehended one UG cadre and an over ground worker of UNLF including a woman today.
The apprehendees were identified as No 1926, SS L/Cpl Satrukhon Meitei alias Panshemba alias Khon, 25, resident of Moreh Ward No- 7 Heinoumakhong and Soibam (O) Sagolsem (N) Nanao alias Naobi, 22 years, resident of Moreh Ward No 7 Heinoumakhong. They were handed over to the Thoubal Police Station, according to a release of PRO IGAR (South).
