IMPHAL, October 11: The 11th annual general body meeting of the Senior Citizens for Society, Manipur (SCSM) was held today here at Government Dance College, Palace Compound.
Four distinguished senior citizens representing four major communities of the State namely Rishang Keishing, former chief minister of Manipur; Late C Opendra Singh, retd district and session judge, Manipur; Prof Laldena, retired professor of Manipur University and Md. Abdul Razaque, retired professor of RIMS, Imphal were honoured at the meeting.
Rishang Keishing and Md Abdul Razaque did not turn up at the meeting due to personal reasons. As C. Opendra is also no longer with us, only Prof Laldena could be present at the meeting to receive the honour in person.
Former Minister Lisom Lalit, who is also the president of SCSM; former minister RV Minthang, vice president of SCSM; Prof L Sadananda, general secretary of SCSM, Dr. M. Nara, Md. Jalal Khan and senior advocate Khaidem Mani, who is also the secretary of SCSM attended the function as presidium members.
