IMPHAL, Oct 11: The 91st birth anniversary of RK Maipaksana was observed today here at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound organized by Rk Maipaksana Memorial Trust.
Dr Okram Kumar Singh, former principle of DM College of Commerce, attended the function as the president.
Dr Lokendra Arambam, former director of Audio Visual Research Centre, Manipur University, delivered the RK Maipaksana memorial lecture on `Reflections on the Contemporary Crisis of Indigenous Peoples of Manipur.`
RK Maipaksana Journalist Fellowship for this year was conferred to Daniel Chabungbam, a sub-editor of Poknapham daily, for his excellence in rural reporting.
