IMPHAL October 18: The Manipur Tourism Forum in collaboration with the Sendra Youth Club conducted a one-day cleanliness awareness programme under the Swachh Bharat Mission supported by the Manipur Urban Development Agency.
The objectives was to create an awareness among the tourists to be mindful of the clean environment and contribute towards maintaining the same, said a volunteer of the forum.
The cleanliness drive was conducted in and around Sendra. Cleanliness awareness was also given to children from the Mega School and all the tourists who visited Sendra today.
As part of the programme supported by the Manipur Urban Development Agency under the Swachh Bharat Mission, the volunteers also installed waste collection bins in and around the Sendra hillock.
The volunteers of the Sendra Youth Club and Manipur Tourism Forum also took out a rally with messages to visitors to keep tourists spots clean.
