Imphal, Oct 30 (NNN): Self styled chief of army of Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF), Jenchui Kamei alias Khanghiamngam Pou of Namkaolong village under Khoupum valley in Tamenglong district has been brought back to Imphal from Assam on Friday.
Soon after his arrival in the state capital, Jenchui Kamei was remanded to police custody for further investigation, reports said. He was brought back here by an Indian Airlines flight arround 2.30 pm.
Kamei was arrested by a joint team of Eastern Command Army Intelligence unit and Assam police during a raid carried out at Bina Enclave, Hatigaon in Assam at around 12.10 am of October 21. Acting on a tip-off provided by NIA Guwahati,Kamei was nabbed during the raid.
