Chief Minister on inspection spree

IMPHAL, November 24: Chief Minister, Okram Ibobi Singh, today inspected various developmental projects taken up in different parts of the State.

The Chief Minister first inspected the building number one of the Special Area Zone, Information Technology Park in Mantripukhri.

The construction of the building at a cost of Rs 60 crore was started in December 2014 and targeted to be completed by December next year. The five storey building will also have parking facilities.

Unsatisfied by the number of work force, the Chief Minister gave strong instruction to the engineer concerned to employ more labourers to ensure that the constructed is completed well within the targeted time.

The Chief Minister also visited the STPI building to take stock of the environment.

Taking into account the absence of transportation system for the nearly 200 individuals employed at the STPI, the Chief Minister called up the Transport department and instructed to provide two semi low floor buses for transporting the employees.

From Mantripukhri, Ibobi inspected the third Nupi Keithel which is under construction and other projects. The Chief Minister asked the concerned engineers of the projects to give extra effort to make sure they are completed in time.
