IMPHAL, Nov 26: The District Legal Services Authority Tamenglong, today organised the National Law Day cum Legal Awareness Programme at Khumji Community Hall.
The programme was attended by Aribam Nouteneshwari Devi, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Tamenglong as chief guest while Th Pamei-president of the Rongmei Naga Council and Phungam Keishing-officer incharge of Noney Police Station, attended as function president and guest of honour respectively. The programme was sponsored by Manipur State Legal Services Authority.
The resource persons Advocate Keisham Dhane Singh spoke on the topic “Crime Against Women and its reminders” while Agui Kamei, correspondent of AIR spoke on the topic “Free Media and Fair Trial”.
Over 70 persons residing in and around Khumji area and Noney area attended the programme.
