Photo Exhibition held at Thangmeiband

IMPHAL, November 29: Carrying of visually disturbing images by the daily newspapers is not only distracting to the minds of the young but may even influence their mind to all the negativity, said newly elected Thangmeiband MLA Khumukcham Joykishan Singh.

He was attending the felicitation, prize distribution and photo exhibition function held at the Khumukcham Leonlee Devi Memorial Community Hall at Thangmeiband Thingel Leikai.

Joykishan said the photographers should study their photos properly not publish much disturbing pictures.

The pictures exhibited during the exhibition today which is organised by the Images of Manipur are all worth watching, he said wishing the IOM success in all their future endeavours.

IMC Councillor of Ward No 3 Hijam Nutanchandra Singh who attended the function as guest of honour congratulated and welcomed Kh Joykishan on his success in the recent by-election.

He said the newly elected MLA should be promoted as an uncontested candidate in the 2017 general election.

He said with the Centre being ruled by the BJP and the State by the Congress, the political relationship between the State and the Centre cannot be good.

The function was also attended by Healthy Women Society president Maisnam Ibemhal Devi as president.

As part of the function prizes were distributed to the first three position holder in photography in given themes.
