BISHNUPUR, November 7: Bishnupur District VDF Welfare Association organized a condolence meeting cum financial donation ceremony at Bishnupur Kha Ward No 7 Community in honor of VDF personnel L Dhananjoy from Moirang Khunou, who untimely passed away after a brief illness.
The ceremony was organized under the aegis of SP Bishnupur Themthing Ngashangva and Additional SP (LO) K Meghachandra.
Ch Kamlakanta Singh of All Manipur VDF Guardian Association (AMVGA); its advisor Dr O Chaoba Meetei; ex-Pramukh of Bishnupur Block Sh Kullabidhu Singh; president of AMVGA L Devan; ASP (LO), Bishnupur District K Meghachandra and social worker Borayangbi seated on the dais.
The ceremony started with offering of floral tributes to portrait of L Dhananjoy followed by observance of a one minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
The association also extended a financial sum of Rs 1 lakh to the deceased’s family.
