FXBIS observes World Aids Day

IMPHAL, December 1: The FXB India Suraksha, Manipur Branch observed the “World AIDS Day 2015” at three different locations at Bamon Kampu, Kongba and Heingang with children, caregivers and stakeholders.

Delivering the key note address of the observation Khoi Dinesh, North East Program Officer FXBIS, remarked that World Aids Day is observed to spread the awareness about the epidemic and end the fear and discrimination among those battling HIV/AIDS.

He further stated that the theme of “Getting To Zero: zero new infection, zero AIDS related death and zero discrimination can be succeeded only when we take up our responsibilities with sincerity and commitment.

Manipur as one of the high prevalent states, the care and support initiatives need to be enhanced. There were altogether 153 participants including stakeholders, beneficiaries, children and their caregivers.

More than 20,000 AIDS orphans, individuals most at risk and people living with HIV/AIDS are being provided support services by FXBIS.
