IMPHAL, Dec 9: Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) has extended its earlier ultimatum to launch stir from December 16 till January 3 next year.
JCILPS stated in a press release that chief minister O Ibobi gave an assurance to look into the matter very soon during a meeting between a delegation team of JCILPS led by convener in-charge Kh Ratan and chief minister at 4.30 pm today.
It further stated that, the decision to delay of agitation was taken after the assurance of Chief Minister and considering the coming Christmas festival of tribal communities as well the ongoing annual examinations. During the extension period a special campaign will be launched, it informed.
