‘Yoga guru Ram Dev to hold Yoga camp in Manipur’

IMPHAL, December 19: Yoga Guru Swami Ram Dev will visit Manipur to conduct a mega Yoga camp at Imphal Hapta Kangjeibung from February 13 to 17, 2016 said Rakesh Kumar central chief co-ordinator Bharat Swabhiman Trust and Patanjali Samiti Haridwar.

Speaking at a press conference at the Manipur Press Club today, Rakesh said Swami Ram Dev is planning to open 400 world class Acharya Kulam across the country under the Bharat Swabhiman Trust and Patanjali Samiti Haridwar.

As part of it, Ram Dev wants to visit Manipur to conduct a five-day Mega Yoga Camp, he said.

We hoped that the mega yoga camp will have around 20 thousand participants, he said adding that several trainers will attend the camp.

He said that during Ram Dev’s visit to Manipur, a world class Acharya Kulam which is an educational institute will be established in Manipur.

As of now, there is only one Acharya Kulam at Haridwar and several others are under construction, he claimed.

Yoga is today considered one of the best physical fitness exercise and can cure several diseases, he said.

On February 15 especial evening class for school going students, and on February 14 another especial yoga camp will be held in the evening only, said Rakesh.

During the press briefing Shyamsekhar central co-ordinator Guwahati said that as of now people from Mayang Imphal has agreed to donate the land for the construction of the world Class Acharya Kulam Educational Institute. And we will inspect the area so we will visit Manipur as an advance team, he said.
