‘Are you afraid to die?’ or the other way round, ‘are you afraid to have a peaceful sleep?’. Saying that ‘I am not afraid to die’ doesn’t calculate your inner strength but stating that ‘I am not afraid to carry on’ does so. People give up because they are scared of life. One’s life is the enemy of oneself. Life will hurt you when you don’t love yourself for what you are but hate yourself for what you are not. If you don’t love yourself then you will remain as ‘I look like’ figure. Don’t just change yourself that other people will like you, the best is try to be yourself so that right people will love you. Just be matured enough to love yourself and by maturity I don’t mean that you should start speaking about big things, it’s just when you start to understand the small things. The moment you start talking to yourself like an idiot and starting to smile like an insane guy, just know that you are ready to fight against your life. At that climax, life will be harder for you. You know why? Because he is scared that you will beat him up. Keep smiling, never lose your smile. At some point of time, life will get tired of upsetting you. And for smiling you don’t need anybody ,‘you just need you’ so, ‘you just be with you’. Therefore, throw that quote ‘be with someone that makes you happy’ away and go for ‘be that someone that makes you happy’. Who says life is beautiful? No it’s not. It’s just the perspective that we change to make it beautiful.
Life is molecule made up by atomic particles called problems. Problems are like washing machine, it will twist you, turn you around but at the end you will come out cleaner and brighter. When you start loving yourself, you will start believing yourself. You know! When a bird sits on a tree, they never feel afraid that the branches will break because they don’t trust the branch, they trust on their own wings. Remember you are yours. Life is all about expressing your true self not to impress others. Everyone is born with same facilities, all you have to do is, see where you can create. You are even born without a name. When you start loving yourself, you will become your best friend, you will become your enemy, you will become your master. You will be your everything, then you will never compare with others which will give you the true happiness. The only person whom you will compare with is the person you were yesterday. Don’t look at the mirror all the time if you want to be beautiful. If you listen to those speaks about you all the time, you will never be who you are. All you have to do is just follow your heart with no doubts, if it is right then you will succeed, if it is wrong then you will learn. The greatest pleasure in life is doing something what your enemy says you can’t. You did it because you can, you can because you want to, you want because your life puts you in trouble thinking that you cannot overcome it. When you feel so tired and you can’t go on, remember the victory is just few steps away. And when you can’t see the victory stand, just know that you are not tired yet. Close your eyes, feel the reality. If you want something you have never had, then you have to be very strong because you have to do something which you have never done. Just believe and trust yourself, life will become a comedy which you will find millions of reason to laugh out loud. Just go up and say ‘THANK YOU’ to those persons who tried to hurt you because they are the ones showing you the one you should not be.
When you believe in yourself, you will have the power of seeing through the people. You will let go off who you were to become and accept who you will be. People say the best way to learn is to ‘revise again and again’ but it should be ‘to fall and, then stand’. When life makes himself harder for you, then you also make yourself stronger. Never let yourself fall in the category of takers, even if takers eat good food, the givers will always have a sound sleep. Just stay humble as much as possible because our graves will always be of the same size even if we have big house, costly cars, millions of dollars, and so on. Just love yourself, instead of wiping your tears again and again, just wipe away the people who made you cry.
Never have doubt in yourself because doubt will kill more of your dreams then your failures ever will. When life knocks you down, just roll over, look at the stars, smile and say ‘are you so scared of me? Do you think I am defeated? No way. You are just giving me a chance to take rest,’. Never ever cry when you are down, always keep remembering that life is your enemy and your tears will make him feel your defeat. Life will never give you are chance to overtake him, so stop waiting for the perfect moment. Just take any comfortable moment and make it perfect. Life will keep confusing you, it’s the options in the multiple choice question. The question will not confuse you but the options. Your work is to just discover your work. Life will make you meet so many idiots to disturb you to destroy the very purpose i.e. learning. At that time, just stop speaking and start listening.
As said by Dalai Lama ‘when you talk, you are just repeating what you already know. But if you listen, you may learn something new,’. Never believe in the words like ‘don’t lose hope, you never know what tomorrow brings for you’. You are the creator of yourself, you have the full right to make your own future. You can create all the changes, but if you focus on the results, you won’t meet those changes. But if you do on change, you will get a clear result. And when we talk about success, never compare with anyone. Success is not measured by the amount of the achievements, but by the obstacles that you overcome to achievement. Remember ‘a cobbler can be more successful than an IAS officer’. If you want more luck in life, then you have to take more chances. Life will be easier if we focus only the important things. You will never reach where you want to reach if you keep disturbing every barking dogs on the way. India does not do what it’s supposed to do, that’s why we cannot be a developed country. Instead of spending more on their daughter marriage, if they spend on their daughter’s education, India would have been a developed country. To all the people, you are born on this planet earth not just to fit in, you are born to stand out. Don’t be afraid anymore. You cannot pass IAS examination, not because you are weak in English but because of the fear of failing. I told you, if you show life your weak point, he will keep hurting you.
Show the world that you can with action because action will remove the doubt that theories can’t. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what people think as long as you are happy. Never regret or worry in life, be a warrior not a worrier. You must know that your dream job does not exist, you must create it. And don’t wait for opportunity to create it. When opportunity doesn’t knock at your door, just built a door. Remember that a true leader never shows to all that he is the leader like all these politicians do. The man who leads the orchestra must turn his back on the crowd. No matter what in life, you have to keep moving, you are a climber not a camper who will hang on at a place for so long. It’s true that you have to go along the direction of the crowd but you have to walk through the crowd not following the crowd. When you know that you are in the right position, just try to help people climbing up. But never expect something in return, because if you are expecting then you are doing a business not showing your kindness. Then only the true happiness will come to you. On the other hand, happiness is not the absence of problems but the ability to play with the problems. Never get distracted by the words of other people, they could not see till the area where you can.
Those people who don’t trust you will one day be so proud in telling others how they met you. At first they will ask you ‘what are you doing?’ but later on they will ask ‘How did you do it?’. Dear readers, I know there is a lot of potential in you, don’t be afraid to fail. You need to get drown first to learn swimming. Never let other set your limits. Even if they say you can’t, just reply ‘wait and watch this fool,’. I wish everyone a very Happy New Year and especially my uncle Sanjenbam Jugeshwor Singh, Project Engineer, NIELIT Akampat, officer in charge of carrier counselling and placement cell, Imphal and to all the people of Manipur. Don’t be so excited for this New Year because it will add another year to you and you will be bound with more responsibilities as ‘with greater power comes great responsibilities,’.
