IMPHAL, Jan 5: One 14-year-old girl, an inmate of Carmel Jyoti Children Home, Luwangsangbam reportedly ran away from the home taking advantage of the gate which was opened while waiting for return of a funeral party on January 3.
A release issued by the home identified the girl as one Yumnam Priyalaxmi alias Thoibi, 14, daughter of Y Sobhachandra of Oinam Mayai Leikai.
The girl who measured 4 feet in height and appeared fair complexion wore yellow-colour phanek, black-colour jacket and yellow-colour shirt at the time she escaped from the home.
The children home in the release appealed to the people to contact the nearest police station, Carmel Jyoti Children Home, media houses and child welfare committees if they come across the missing girl.
