IMPHAL, Jan 23: A man was found unconscious with blood oozing out from an injury in his head along the river bank at Sankai village under Litan Police Station, Ukhrul district this evening around 4.
The site where the man was found lies around 5 km west of the police station. He was come across by people who went to the area to fetch water.
On receiving the news, a team of police arrived and retrieved the injured body. He was admitted to JNIMS Hospital for treatment at around 6 pm.
The man who appeared a Meitei aged around 40 years. Cause of the incident and identity of the man could not be ascertained till the time of going to the press.
