IMPHAL, Feb 24: Keisamthong MLA, L Ibomcha Singh, taking the opportunity of the zero hour today drew the attention of the house with regards to the recent confession made by Manipur Police Constable Thounaojam Herojit, in Sanjit Killing to IFP.
The MLA appealed to the authority concerned to allow Herojit to give his statement before the court citing the warnings and pressure from various civil bodies.
Urging the government to initiate immediate steps before things get out of hand, the MLA suggested the use of lie detector on Herojit to confirm his statement.
