NSF meets Indo-Naga peace talk interlocutor

IMPHAL, Feb 2: A delegation of the Naga Students` Federation met R.N. Ravi, the interlocutor of Indo-Naga peace talk today and apprised him the need to speed up the talk while appreciating his sincerity and seriousness in solving the long pending Naga political conflict.

NSF in a press release said the delegation met PA Sangma, Chairman of North East MPs Forum and appealed for his intervention and cooperation in resolving the protracted Indo-Naga political issue.

The federation believes that a positive gesture from the entire northeast Members of Parliament would definitely boost the morale of the Government of India to seek a solution not only to the Nagas but also to the various political groups in the North East India, it said.

The delegation also met Rajnath Singh, Union Minister for Home Affairs and impressed upon him to take personal initiatives in bringing permanent peace as the Naga people especially the youths are anxiously waiting for the outcome of the ongoing political dialogue.

The federation shared that keeping pending of this particular issue will not only disturb the minds of the Nagas and the North-eastern people but it will also continue to haunt the minds of the Indian leadership. The team is still planning to meet some of the key Indian leaders, NSF stated in the release.
