BJYM team leave Imphal to attend All India Youth Convention at Mathura

IMPHAL, March 3: A team of the Bharatiya Janata Youth Mandal Manipur will report to the party’s national leaders of the State government’s corrupt practices in several central sponsored schemes undertaken in Manipur said BJP Manipur president Th Chaoba today.

Chaoba was speaking while flagging off a BJYM team who will attend an All India Youth Convention to be held at Mathura, UP.

The BJYM team led by its president O Malesh also includes vice president Gopi, K Bikram, K Robindro and others.

He said the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will attend the convention as the chief guest.

Everyone is aware of the fact that Manipur is high on the list of most corrupt States, he added.

It is also very clear that the State government will continue with its corrupt practices, alleged Chaoba.

The Narendra Modi led government will fight corruption in the interest of the people of Manipur, he observed.

Malesh said the BJYM team leaving to attend the convention includes 15 members. The convention will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister, he said.

Expressing hope that the team will get to meet the Prime Minister during the convention, he said the team will highlight the issues of law and order problem, corruption regarding the central allocated Rs 120 crore in the tourism sector to the Prime Minister.

He said a detailed report of the utilisation of the fund for tourism sector will also be submitted to the Union Minister of Tourism in new Delhi after the convention on March 7.
