JFDO Tamenglong to resume its agitation

IMPHAL, April 3: The Joint Frontal Development Organisations (JFDO) Tamenglong, who has been demanding the transfer of DC Tamenglong, has reported to resume its agitation from midnight today.

As a first phase of the protest the JFDO Tamenglong informed to ban all national and international projects in Tamenglong district.

It may be mentioned that talk was held at office Chamber of Chief Minister of Manipur together with Deputy Chief Minister and Local MLA on March 14, 2016 wherein the Chief Minister assured the agitator to wait till April 2.

According to Hukamang Gangmei, president JFDO the Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh assured to transfer the DC by April 2 but till date the transfer order has not been received.

Given the circumstances, it said that the JFDO has no option left accept to resume its agitation until the demands is met.

He further appealed to all concerned and general public to extend their cooperate in making the agitation a success.
