IMPHAL, April 24: In a terrifying incident, a man who was called out by his alleged girlfriend was found brutally murdered at Langkhong village under Kashom Khullen Police Station in Ukhrul district today around 2 pm.
The deceased has been identified as Bachaspatimayum Pittaranjan alias Korabin Sharma, 24 son of B Shantikumar Sharma of 
According to reports, Pittaranjan went out of his house on April 19 to meet his alleged girlfriend identified as ‘Romila’ hailing from Langkhong village.
After whereabouts of Pittaranjan could not be traced since he left the house, family members approached Kashom Khullen PS and the Assam Rifles post to locate him.
To their surprise, his dead body was reported to have been sighted at Langkhong village. There were stab marks on the body which was found naked.
The dress which Pittaranjan wore at the time he went out of his house was found atop a hill at Langkhong village, the reports said.
On hearing of the shocking news, family members of the deceased rushed to the spot where the lifeless body was found.
