Moreover, some portions of the Namkaolong Part- II (Duigainam) Road have sunk and cracks of about 50 to 60 metres are developing, which has only worsen the situation.

Despite of untold suffering faced by people of Tamenglong due to the deplorable condition of the roads and landslide; the M/S Woodhill Infrastructure Ltd who won the e-tender for temporary restoration of the damaged road was found absent.

However, only one JCB of BRTF and few workers were found clearing the landslide along Tamenglong- Khongsang road, when a joined team of Joint Forum for Transport Welfare Association Tamenglong, Traders Association Tamenglong and media persons, visited the affected areas.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways MoRTH has sanctioned a sum of Rs. 13,23,91,325 in the year 2012. The contract work was awarded to M/S Woodhill Ltd and National Highways Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL) as sole Project Implementing
