Prasanta’s autopsy today; JAC says body will be accepted only after culprits arrested
IMPHAL, April 28: The JAC formed against the alleged killing of S Prasanta said today that post mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted tomorrow; however, the JAC and family members will not accept the body until those involved in his death are arrested and punished according to the law.

According to convenor of the JAC Ashem Sunil the examination will be conducted tomorrow at the JNIMS mortuary and the JAC will be provided with the report within two days.

He said the JAC and its supporters will also continue with the blockade at the Singjamei to Lilong stretch of National Highway 2 until their demands are met.

Will continue agitations after meeting with CSO leaders: Pittaranjan JAC
IMPHAL, April 28: The state-wide bandh called by the Pittaranjan JAC will end tomorrow morning at 6, and later in the day, the JAC will convene a meeting with leaders of civil society organisations to chart out the future course of agitations.

This was informed by Takhellambam Rajesh convenor of the JAC formed against the alleged killing of Bachaspatimayum Pittaranjan alias Korabin.

Pittaranjan’s body was recovered in a partly decomposed state from Langkhong Village under Kashom Khullen Police Station in Ukhrul district.

Rajesh said although the state-wide bandh will end tomorrow morning, the JAC along with the general public will continue with the line of agitation resolved during the meeting with the CSO leaders.

The agitations will be launched until their demands are met, he said.
