BISHNUPUR, May 25: The 126th anniversary of Ibudhou Kajao who daringly killed Mr Grimwood in front of Kangla Uttra was observed at his birthplace at Kangmong Meisnam Leikai, Imphal West today.
The observance was organized by Pukhramba Kajao Memorial Trust.

Kangmong Gram Panchayat S Nabakumar Meitei graced the occasion as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Dignitaries and participants offered floral tributes at the statue of the warrior erected at his birthplace as a mark of honour. They also paid floral tributes to the spear which Ibudhou Kajao used in killing Grimwood.
Speaking at the function, Heramani Khuman stated that the observance has been organized by the trust since May, 2002 to commemorate the heroic act of the warrior.
L Phonindro from Nambol Phoijing who designed and constructed the statue was also present at the function.
MLA Sarat contributed 90 percent fund of the total amount for construction of the statue.
