LJP blames Congress govt for ILP impasse

IMPHAL, May 7: The Lok Jan Shakti Party, Manipur State Unit has blamed the state government for the three ILp bills not seeing the light of the day.

Addressing a press meet today at the Manipur Press Club, LJP spokesperson N Ibohal said, the state government led by Okram Ibobi Singh does not take keen interest in the implementation of the three ILP Bills.

He said, it is the failure of the Congress that the people is facing the present law and order situation and frequent bandhs and punlic curfews.

He said, the three bills were passed in August 31, 2015. But it is lying unattended for the last 9 months. The state government has not shown any positive attitude on the issue.

He furthersaid that the three bills is not in the interest of any community or any individual but for the benefit of the larger interests of the Manipur people.
