More boost to NE States

IMPHAL, May 27: The exhibition on handloom and handicrafts from North Eastern States of India will be inaugurated jointly by Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (I/C) and Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Minister of State for Textiles (I/C) on May 30 at Central Cottage Industries Emporium, Janpath, New Delhi.
Naveen Verma, Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region and Rashmi Verma, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, will be the guests of honour.
Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Ltd, (CCIC), a premier organization under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles retails authentic and exclusive handicrafts and handlooms through its showrooms in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The products are being sourced from artisans and weavers including master craftpersons and National awardees from all over India.
In an endeavor to promote the rich cultural heritage of the North Eastern States, DoNER and Ministry of Textiles have undertaken a joint initiative to promote the handicrafts and handloom products of the region by organizing an exhibition of high quality products from North Eastern Region at CCIC showroom in Delhi.
