Bruce Pebam— a pro-ILPS protester who was kept at Juvenile Home, Takyel after he was held by the police, was released today.
Bruce was given a rousing welcome by students at the gate of Juvenile Home, Takyel today. The students also shouted slogans like, ‘Implement ILPS in Manipur,’ ‘We want ILP,’ ‘Enact the three Bills’ at the gate.
It may be mentioned that Bruce Pebam was arrested by the police during a demonstration at the office of BJP Manipur unit located at Nityapat Chuthek recently. He was then kept at the Juvenile Home.
L Bidyalaxmi, another student arrested by the police in connection with the ILPS demand movement was released yesterday.
