​JCILPS lines up new phase of stir

IMPHAL, Jul 19: Stating that there is a need to sustain the people’s collective movement until a new Bill is passed by the Manipur Legislative Assembly in place of the PMP Bill 2015 which has been withheld by the President of India, the JCILPS has called upon the people to re-launch different modes of agitation so that a new Bill is passed in the forthcoming Assembly which is due in either the last week of the current month or the first week of August.
As a part of the renewed movement, JCILPS has already started checking entry of non-local people into the State. This would be followed by sit-in-protests, human chains and chanting of slogans collectively.

According to a press release issued by JCILPS, mass  sit-in-protest would be staged  along Keishampat Machin-Wahengbam Leikai-Tera Keithel on July 22, Uripok Machin-Uripok RIMS Road-Nagamapal RIMS Road and Ishing Chaibi on July 23, Nagamapal RIMS Road Machin-Khoyathong-Thangmeiband Lilashing Khongnangkhong- Chingmeirong-Shangakpham on July 25, Keishampat Machin-Heirangoithong on July 25 and Moirangkhom-Kakwa Keithel on July 26.

Similar protest demonstrations would be staged along Singjamei Bridge-Kongba Keithel-Konung Mamang on July 27, Keishampat Machin-Malom on July 28, Konung Traffic Island-Hatta Minuthong-Telipati-Lamlong Keithel on July 29, Lamlong Keithel-Khomdidok on July 30 and Lamlong Keithel-Top Moirang Kampu on July 31.
