Meghalaya organizations unhappy over delay in influx Bills

SHILLONG, July 14: As many as 13 social organizations of Meghalaya have expressed concern over the government’s alleged lackadaisical attitude on mechanism to regulate influx.

The 13 organizations including the KSU, FKJGP and HNYF is a letter to the Chief Minister on Thursday stated , “The 13 social organizations of the state wish to express our concerns over the extremely  slow process in the implementation of the three  Bills —the Entry and Exit Points , the Tenants Verification and Regulation Bill and the Amendment of the Benami Transaction, Detection and Prohibition bill—to regulate influx in the state, which  are  still under scrutiny and consideration.”

“Considering our genuine concern we feel that the State government must clarify their stand at the earliest,” they said.
