The fracas surrounding the conduct of viva-voce for staff nurse, GNM and ANM recruitment by the Medical directorate has continued today with several candidates who had submitted their applications but denied admit cards charging the directorate of conducting the viva voce forcibly.
A group of candidates who were denied admit cards and whose admit cards were termed invalids called a press conference at the Manipur Press Club today.
The group charged the directorate of conducting the viva voce forcibly without first explaining why some candidates have been denied admit cards and why some of the admit cards distributed are termed invalids.
One of the candidates Ulkana said she had received an admit card but was denied to attend the viva voce by the authorities claiming that her card was invalid.
When she went to inquire with the directorate officials, she was turned back by the officials who even challenged her to complain to whosoever he wants, she alleged.
She also claimed that the officials used vulgar words against her.
A differently abled candidate Madom said despite the recruitment notification announcing a three percent reservation for the disabled, her admit card was also declared invalid.
She alleged the authorities of allowing only those candidates they want.
She further appealed to the higher ups to look into the issue.
It may be mentioned that the AMSU has also lent its support to the aspiring candidates and demanded the authorities to stop the ongoing viva voce at the earliest.
