The Chief Minister said that none of the party had secured clear majority this time. As the INC has the simple largest party he had claimed the stake to the Governor.

Regarding the defection of one Congress MLA, T Shyamkumar of Andro Assembly to BJP, the Chief Minister clarified that it is just a hearsay. “There is no dissident in our party, we are solid and united. The news about his (Shyamkumar’s) joining to BJP is not at our knowledge, may be a hearsay and so far, Shyamkumar had not submitted any resignation paper to resign from Congress,” Ibobi clarified.
